Since first opening the ranch, we've welcomed visitors from all around the world keen to meet our friendly alpacas. Now visitors can stay on our family-owned ranch whenever they please. Available through our 5-star Airbnb listing, you can book your stay in our fully equipped, warm, and comfortable 3-bedroom Cedar House. At Silent Valley Alpaca we offer an authentic farm experience for the entire family. With everything from farm tours to engaging and educational events, it’s a great place to visit year round, since things are constantly changing here.

Located just 1.5 hours from Ottawa and Kingston, come experience alpacas in the rugged wilderness of North Frontenac. Escape to the serenity of 200 unspoiled acres of fields, and forests. Activities at the farm include workshops, craft days, barn tours, hiking, snowshoeing, and studio tours .

Visit our ranch store to discover our amazing products including clothing and accessories made from alpaca fibre, gifts, raw fleece, and unique yarns — many hand-carded, -dyed, and -spun by co-owner Hanne. You can also find hand-woven and hand-felted scarves here. There might even be a few pieces from the wood studio.

While you're here, be sure to visit the incredible North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve. The observation pad is one of the best places for stargazing in the province.
